British Science Week 2025, which took place from March 7th to 16th, celebrates innovation, discovery, and the power of curiosity, inspiring people of all ages to explore the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and maths.

Our Digital Producer, Molly Sheridan, had the pleasure of visiting Blairdardie Primary School last Friday to celebrate.

The Primary 5 pupils got creative and imaginative as they designed their very own website homepages.

From imaginative gaming platforms to sites dedicated to their favourite animals, their ideas were incredibly creative and showed off some serious design thinking!

Over in Primary 7, pupils got hands-on with some tech fun — as they were shown how to create their very own QR codes using QRCode Monkey.

They picked it up incredibly fast and even tested each QR code they created to make sure they worked as expected.

Head Teacher, Alison Pears, shared her thoughts on the day:

British Science Week is a fantastic opportunity to spark curiosity in our pupils here at Blairdardie Primary School. Having Radiator Digital visit us and demonstrate how technology is woven into their work really helped bring those concepts to life for our pupils. Connecting with local businesses like Radiator not only makes learning more meaningful, but also helps our children see the exciting possibilities that STEM can offer in the world around them.

A huge thank you to the amazing staff and pupils for making Molly feel so welcome. It’s always a joy to see young minds exploring the world of science and technology with such excitement! 💡✨
